Ultimately, in the final game, that is what happens...your ship insurance only covers the standard basic ship & load outs. Any new & different guns you buy will be lost when the ship is destroyed, and the standard base model is replaced through the insurance claim. How it will work in 3.0...

I'll have to add 2 of my ships...I was not actively paying attention to the game when the Carrack and Endeavor were released, so I missed them. I later got an Argo and CCU'ed that to a Carrack with LTI... Then, I got an 85x and CCU'ed that to an Endeavor... Funny how those little tiny chassis...
