Channged minigun to M7A on my warden and i'm regretting it

The 788 was by far the reigning dps champion a couple patches back--it did more damage than the S5 guns. It is now slightly less than the gattling, and the projectiles are much slower, so not a good choice except that it carries twice the ammo.

Survey: What is the FLAGSHIP in you fleet ?

I know there were reports of a special AR cockpit for the sentinel, but I don't think it will be what people were suspecting. I think it is slated to be a second workstation in the mid section, that makes use of all the EM warfare goodies. It will need to come out for EM Warfare to come in...

Channged minigun to M7A on my warden and i'm regretting it

Ah, well then the Revenant should be much more effective, since some damage goes through the shields. I'm curious, Richard; which shields are you flying? Are the FR-76 in game?

All the Vanguards come stock with the Revenant. Save your money for better shields, etc.

    Harvestables in 3.7

I think I'd rather harvest tequila on missions.

Channged minigun to M7A on my warden and i'm regretting it

The Revenant is a Ballistic Gattling. The 447 is a cannon--fires much slower. You can compare them and their stats here. Just load the Hoplite or Warden. https://hardpoint.io/#/ IIRC, what you're calling the "447" the Hardpoint calls the original title, which is the C-788 Ballistic...

Channged minigun to M7A on my warden and i'm regretting it

I was going to say that. The fewer changes the less it costs to replace too. The thing I'm cuious about is what to do with the 6 S2 slots. It will be interesting in 3.7 to see if we can split the 4 S2s in the nose with different types. Or is that too much to hope for?

    TEST FPS Weapons

Agreed. if you want people to watch them, vids are always best less than 3 minutes. Just fly through the topic and don't waste the audience's time.

Are the nose lasers all swappable now?

I dunno how to answer that. What is cheap to one person is half hour's work to another. Perosnlly I'd love to pick up 2-3 weapons on every mission I run. Keep some and sell some. If it keeps me in tequila I'm happy. I am however planning to run several NPC marines, so I expect I need to...

Survey: What is the FLAGSHIP in you fleet ?

I'm expecting to have at least one Vanguard frame and Hoplite, Harbinger and Sentinel modules, and a full selection of equipment. Any particular task and I want to be able to pick and choose. Certainly one needs to have lots of choices for that chin gun, both S4 and S5, but I want to be able...

Survey: What is the FLAGSHIP in you fleet ?

I hope not. I was really hoping they'd release it when the release the Sentinel, or why release the ship at all? I think though the Carrack will be out with 3.7 so I may just be happy to crew for whoever wants to fly the coolest ship in game at that point.

BTW, while we're on the subject; carrying only one weapon has another benefit. You can carry off more loot at the end of any given struggle. Picking up various firearms is going to be worthwhile once we hit Beta.

    TEST FPS Weapons

I think we're agreed on everything you wrote, but to be more clear, shock is about impulse. All rounds do complete energy transfer unless the round exits the target. Shock is about transferring that energy across as little time period as possible--meaning the round does not go far but delivers...

    TEST FPS Weapons

The obvious and important difference between gaming and real life is gaming only seldom offers one shot kills. (Exceptions are shotguns, snipers and headshots.) It's not realistic that a fighter can take several missiles and continue to fight, or a soldier can take multiple hits to the torso...

    TEST FPS Weapons

Exactly. I think the game does mimick real life very well. In FPS they are giving an advantage again to ballistics, that they will penetrate shields, but they're also giving the disadvantage that they recoil more severely. The ballistic LMG recoils too much to keep it on target even for...

    TEST FPS Weapons

Handguns always do more damage than rifles, because of the larger diameter bullet. If you're designing a round for close use, the handgun or shotgun are better than the rifle. The difference in effectiveness in combat between rifle and pistol is not in the round. It's in the fact that you tuck...

    TEST FPS Weapons

Agreed. The biggest advantage of keeping your movement at 85% or better is that you lose stamina much more slowly. When you lose stamina, your ability to run and to target drops off. If you watch the vids you'll see the guys carrying three weapons fighting constantly with their stamina their...
