Yeah. Depends on what the 890 can do. Right now it is not classed for passenger transport and they have never said VIP transport will be a career option. I'm still waiting to see how they end up doing it.

I actually doubt a single HH will be an issue for an 890 as it the PDW systems will protect from the torpedoes and the capital shields can likely manage a large amount of fire hitting them. That said, the 890 should not linger around to fight it and should instead leverage it's better jump drive...

It's actually been specified it won't need an escort. The difference is it cannot stand up to something like another similarly sized capital. It's instead designed to engage things like a caterpillar and a few cutlasses, the average pirate fleet.

Honestly it sounds like he needs a Polaris. They are at the same relative pricepoint, the Polaris has good weapons, it has a private officers quarters and it has a hangar. Plus a pool table and rec deck.

You have already described exactly what the 890 is NOT. It has a defensive loadout consisting of good armor, shields, and PDW's, not offensive firepower. It is a gigantic touring boat. Go buy an Idris or 3.

By far my favorite ship, very happy to have one. Particularly since that entire top window above the engines is the master suite view. It's 2 floors!

They said swimming would be a thing ages ago. It's why out glorious 890's have pools. They also said they were considering boats and other water only vehicles but had not decided on them yet.
