the NeT Neutrality debate is back

I don't personally believe the providers should ever have any say over what they transmit, and have no right to look at it. Google is the most evil empire in human history.

Now you too can become an org leader for a mere $5000!

Not legit. Look at the Terms and Conditions. Nothing noted about the beer. Nothing. NO BEER! What a waste. . .

I thought it would be bigger

I'm surprised the graphic is not of an Idris. Now there is a black card too? What is the difference in the Concierge levels?

    TEST pet update.

Actually it is just a small trailer, with a very worn carpet between the living room and refrigerator.

    TEST pet update.

I went to order a Spot Mini, but it turns out it only has a range of 75 miles, which means it would be recharging several times a day, just walking back and forth between the living room and the fridge for fresh cold beer. I can't be recharging the thing every few hours.

TESTies, what national monuments do you find impacted you the most?

Yes, but Stalin murdered 70 million of his own people--far more than died in all WWII on all sides, including civilian casualties. How do you make peace with that? To this day, places like Venezuela suffer from the same diseased plan to subjugate people, now have a 2600% inflation rate, and...

Both are true. Depends upon the occasion I suppose.

I think Oppenheimer was quoting Shiva in the Vedas?, and said "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." Scary that the guy in charge of building the bomb would quote like that, but it has been more than 70 years we have not used it. That part is encouraging.

Tanks were astonishingly effective during Desert Storm, but US Army has been trying to get the USG to stop building tanks for more than 30 years, because the US has plenty and the shoulder mounted weapons make them less survivable than they once were. Fact is, the only reason USG builds new...

TESTies, what national monuments do you find impacted you the most?

It was a difficult choice, but the last of the true US Battleships, the US Iowa class; was designed around being able to take a hit. It does not have the most guns nor as many of them as some other battleships, but it has an extraordinary damage control capability that went into no other class...

    Pirate Swarm - ship toughness

I have noted this for a long time. It doesn't even require jousting to note that most hits do happen pretty close, but that is the nature of dog-fighting as opposed to fighting strategically the way modern fighter aircraft are designed. The new F-35 is a crappy dog-fighter. It's wing loading...

    Pirate Swarm - ship toughness

From the vids seems 1400 is too slow. 1700 is much easier to hit targets in flight with. Also I think Marcsand2 has said he doesn't like the slower weapons for the same reasons. The thing you can't get around with S2 weapons is the crappy <3k range, which places you at the mercy of anything...

Exploration Exploration Guide (What we know so far)

Decouple maintains your speed, but point is, they do have a commitment to make it so ships are vulnerable to attack and boarding. If you could jump whenever oyu like that would not be so, and not nearly as interesting a universe.

Exploration Exploration Guide (What we know so far)

Can people quantum travel in a pinch, whether they have a destination locked into the computer or not? I am wondering what will stop players from using that drive to escape any conflict that isn't going their way, as this would remove the interest to own fast ships that can chase down or escape...

    Pirate Swarm - ship toughness

Ah, so really it is just I was looking for the wrong thing. Glad you found it. So there is a large difference! Does anyone know if we will ever be able to apply the Ghost Hornet Void Armor to other ships as once promised? I am still interested in a multi-mission fighter that I can swap out...

    Lore: somewhat out of place

That was proposed by Dr. Robert Baker a little over a decade ago. His scheme was to focus a pair of High Frequency Gravity Wave generators at a location and cause them to constructively interfere in order to generate a synthetic singularity, toward which the ship the generators were mounted on...

    Lore: somewhat out of place

Mach's Principle (MP) was named by Albert Einstein when he was working on his General Theory of Relativity (GR). MP claims that the quality of all mass that we call "inertia"--what makes matter have mass--is the consequence of the universe's gravity field. So in this theory, gravity causes...

    Pirate Swarm - ship toughness

The Hull tab is gone from the last components spreadsheet, so we can't refer, but IIRC, the only difference between the hull on the Hornets and that of the SH was the extra 100 HP of the turret itself. If you are being hit there you basically can take one extra hit, but you will lose your top...
