    Interesting developments in mining

Well, the only part of SC right now that seems to meet the criteria you described is quantum travel. As you're dragged out of quantum by a "pirate" you'll at least get a notice. Mining is not exactly a spectator sport even right now. The most warning you'll get if you're not looking at the...

First rollout of anti-cheat for Star Citizen

Yes I am excited... the princess is now her prince's problem. The next one (also a girl) asked today if it was OK if she just eloped. I said, "Yes. Both me and my bank account think that's a fabulous idea"

    Interesting developments in mining

Mining has been working for years, since 3.2 at least, and using the Prospector. All that is happening is they're making the process a little more fun and adding another element of risk.

    Interesting developments in mining

You can mine successfully with a unmodified, entry level mining laser, but it will seriously restrict what you can crack. Without an attachment on your mining laser it's more difficult, but after you've got the hang of it, it's better and you can earn enough for new mining equipment. This is...

    Upcoming Subscriber Flairs (Updated regularly)

"Properly chilled" is a relational thing. For example, chilling a scotch can blunt it's flavor, and some beer's are best served unshelled (well chill them in the Southern US... but not up north). Some spirits it's better to serve them downright hot.

    Coronavirus COVID-19 Thread

I totally agree. Also it's a forum to express yourself - not to find good advice... so it's a kind of odd situation. But for me, I see vaccine hesitancy and denial is due mostly to fear of needles. Like any fear, they're going to try to find a way to justify their position.

Server Meshing - Very good explanation

Well it wasn't a CIG video so, there's that. However, that's what I want to know. My only other problem is the use of the term "Server" without defining it.

    [Re]introduction and Call to Arms

You both have your heads screwed on properly. Good stuff! Mine, it's got a screw that I can't tighten anymore, but I try and my wife is a gamer too. If you still call WoW a game.

SC, Looting people but not able to steal from shops? Realistic and a necessity.

That sounds like it involves coercion, not negotiation. IRL, the only people who can get away with that and not be charged with a crime work for a Government Tax office.

SC, Looting people but not able to steal from shops? Realistic and a necessity.

It's not even not technically a crime, it's not a crime if the seller agrees to the price.
