Crytek vs CIG lawsuit: Motion to dismiss granted!

This is normal procedural stuff. CIG agreeing to the extension is also normal. There is a bit of a community misconception though, on potential copyright infringement. The 3 month window does not exist. I went back to 12 bugsmashers, and there is a lot of code displayed during 2016, and...

    Loreville disappointment

Sage advice! There are still things that CIG is working out so there will be more experiments over the next 3 or 4 years. Best advice is, don't sweat it just find something else to do when it's not living up to your expectations. ... and I need to learn how to take better in-game pics.

At some point tomorrow morning I will get to say "Merry Chrithmafffffff". upon which I will both smile and drool simultaneously. 😬

    Star Citizen Ship Loadout Calculator

Good question. I don't think CIG has a lot of plans at the moment for offline apps other than what they have in the website, or even a public API - but it could also be that they're saving this to build value for corporate support. Seems to me we got some negative feedback from CIG's...

Webcams are hot again (?) - Microsoft rumored to release new webcams in 2019

I just need something for recording instructional videos and virtual meetings at work. Right now using a Logitec 920 that isn't really cutting it. And, yeah I need to update my cell phone too... geez.

... THANKS ... If that was posted before, I didn't see it, and I've wasted money a few times.

Can't wait for 3.5! Arccorp and the new flight model!

You could do that I suppose. I don't use dual stick, I use just one, and a throttle with additional controls or just the keyboard and one stick. If I had foot pedals, they'd be for rudder control, but that's just me. the dual stick doesn't set up the way I think of flight.

    Loreville disappointment

For the stage of development, for it's apparent role in game, and for what I expected Lorville is doing pretty good. I have a few issues with design objectives... My first thought was, "A subway? On train rails? Seriously?" but it seems to serve its purpose. It just wasn't exactly...

    Loreville disappointment

If you don't like the progress so far, don't run this software right now. It's as simple as that.

    Loreville disappointment

I actually partially agree with @Richard Bong. I'm not as concerned with the content of Lorville, but it has some things that are not thought out so well. The design of the subway system is ... anachronistic to say the least, but it more or less works. There are a few other issues but...

What should this US Government Employee do, during the shut down?

Why let a trivial thing like reality ruin your fun? Carpenters have common knowledge: Plywood can't bend. Shipwrights have a saying: It's amazing how much plywood can bend, when you don't know plywood can't bend.

What should this US Government Employee do, during the shut down?

... It's actually more or less true. There's a huge caveat though. There are only a handful of companies who can afford this, so it's hard to actually find and land one of these jobs. Read this, for example...

What should this US Government Employee do, during the shut down?

I think a Project Manager who understands the business language, and the implementation language is a powerful thing, and not just in IT. I'm not talking about programming languages here, I'm talking language. How you communicate an idea. In the case of an IT Project Manager, the task is that...

What should this US Government Employee do, during the shut down?

Most important question right here! 👆 But machine learning... that's interesting. Where does this interest come from? (Actually that's the same question as above...just more targetted)

would you put this in your living room? In the office? In the lab?

Yeah, the memories of carbon paper are not fond memories. The worst part was I graduated in '83 with a technology degree, and worked for a large computer system manufacturer. No names to protect the innocent, or the guilty as the case may be - and for what it's worth, I'm still not entirely...

would you put this in your living room? In the office? In the lab?

I totally get this. For me, it's actually a work related issue, so I can write off the expense of the solution... assuming I felt like paying $4500 or so for a solution that's worth under $1000 of you don't need the desk. I still like it, but I wouldn't buy it. It's the 3 monitors I need. If...
