That doesn't necessitate the Polaris being in Squadron 42, which is a single player game.

    SQ42 development status

No idea on what, if any, of the timeline still holds true for the story. The original timeline is based on a release date around 2016, because the PU is supposed to be shortly after SQ42 not more than a decade later.

    SQ42 development status

The roadmap isn't representative of work done, or, necessarily, things actually being worked on. For example Chapters 1-30, were all listed and the timeline ended in Quarters 1 and 2 of 2021. The Retaliator Gold Standard timeline ended in Q2 of 2021, the Liberator was Q3 of 2021 as was the...

I remember when that sale occurred. If the financials are accurate that size of an investment is no longer even a year of operating expensives. And they still need an advertising budget if this ever gets to launch. If this ever gets to launch, remember AWS isn't free, CR has ruled out most...

    Starfield - Discussion Thread

I'm afraid enough drop off to cause CIG to pay attention will result in not enough money to get to even beta, resulting in Star Citizen to simply be abandoned.

Or, it will cause an additional delay while SQ42 gets refactored from the ground up to catch up.

    Starfield - Discussion Thread

Typically a full game dev cycle is 5 years. 8 years is a little long. Star Citizen/Squadron 42 is over 12 now with no release date in sight. Cryengine is a game engine, so not from scratch. Note that Lumberyard and the following O3DE is still Cryengine. Which makes Starfield much more complex...

    Starfield - Discussion Thread

It makes, based on the video, Squadron 42 look very dated and tired. It demonstrates the problem with such a long development time. I'm not into games I can't play with my spouse (I don't have to play with her, but I have to be able to play with her, so this is likely a pass for me.

Anyone catch this on ISC? 2

No, it's a crossbow. For some stupid reason.

They showed this a couple of years ago. I was hoping they forgot about it.

Does CIG need to bring in a publisher? (video)

Absolutely, that is the way it should be done. That hasn't been how CIG has been operating. They don't count us as investors. As long as people keep giving them money, they have no reason to change. On the flip side, if the money starts to slack off, they aren't in a position to do the work or...

Does CIG need to bring in a publisher? (video)

Given the history of missed self imposed goals, even the simple ones, this project has missed so far, and the lack of accountability, do you really think that's even possible here?

Does CIG need to bring in a publisher? (video)

Last word from Erin Roberts, (last fall) is Squadron 42 is more than 2 years away. Note that Squadron 42 has been two years away for almost the entire project. I don't see that changing any time in the foreseeable future. There is no incentive for CIG to finish anything as long as the money...

Does CIG need to bring in a publisher? (video)

I'm past the point where I truly believe Star Citizen will never get released. It's already showing its age. It will be abandoned before it gets close to finished. Something needs to change. I doubt a publisher can get control, which rules that out.

is the hornet wildfire worth it?

The stock F-7C is every bit as good as the Wildfire version. It's the same craft with a different loadout and paint scheme. Is there a reason for the significant price increase? Not that I can see.
