    Anvil Liberator

The Liberator seems to be this: https://www.thinkdefence.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Atlantic-Conveyor-embarking-a-Sea-Harrier-in-the-UK-03.jpg

    Anvil Liberator

I think beds are over hyped. Unless they seriously change how distance travel works, the limiting factor is, highly likely, fuel range not duration. The troop transports don't have beds for the passengers. The Genesis Starliner images have airliner seats for the majority of the passengers. I...

X52 Pro no longer working since Windows 11 upgrade

My better halve's X52 Pro set worked quite well before the move. Unfortunately, since the set is in storage about 2000 miles away for a little longer, I can't test them at the moment, but they worked just fine under Windows 11.

    What's better?

Like I said, Auroras are ablative armor. View: https://youtu.be/ThoSrupfwYM?t=602

New ground vehicle on the way (Anvil Centurion)

In a space game where the smallest ground vehicle we have is about the size of an M1 tank, I can't really get excited about another ground vehicle. Are we playing Star Citizen or Ogre?

    What's better?

If you hull strip the ship, you still have the components.

    What's better?

You need both. The Auroras are ablative armor for the Hull-E.

Alpha 3.17.2 released to Wave 1 PTU

I haven't seen it this bad in a year and a half, if not longer.

Alpha 3.17.2 released to Wave 1 PTU

I had decent frame rates in 3.17 and for the little I played in 3.17.1. But apparently they broke that and I am at unplayable framerates in the PTU. Yuck.

    New Star Citizen Scorpius trailer

Arrow vs. Scorpius should be close. Gladius vs. Scorpius with the current meta, Gladius. Sabre or Hornet vs. Scorpius with the current meta, I give it to the flight over the pair.

    New Star Citizen Scorpius trailer

I forgot to answer the other part. A Squadron is generally homogeneous. A strike package would depend on the mission, but would usually not be homogeneous. So mix a flight to a squadron of Scorpii to fly in with the bombers they are escorting, and a flight to a squadron of Arrows to fly top...

    New Star Citizen Scorpius trailer

Fighters always, in the real world, and most Sci-Fi, fly with a wingman. A flight of F14's is the same number of planes as a flight of F/A18s. A Squadron is the same number of planes. (Generally) It isn't the number of people that determing a Squadron, it is the number of planes. In Star...

    New Star Citizen Scorpius trailer

IMHO it comes down to being able to crew them. Fighters should fly with a wingman, and generally in flights or Squadrons. So flying a pair of Gladius, Arrows, Hornets, Sabres, etc. is 2. A flight of 4 needs 4 people. A Squadron is 12. For the Scorpius, Hurricane and Gladiator you have to double...

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

They had further work on the Retaliator Gold Standard pass on the schedule after that was finished. It was then pulled off the tracker. It is not done and no changes have been made to the in game asset. The tracker is not accurate. Compared to the price of everything else, $125 seems much lower...

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

The first build I pulled the models from was 3.0. The Tali modules were in that build. They are also in the most recent build I have been able to pull models from. So we know the modules for the Tali exist. It is highly likely the modules for the Vanguard also exist. (I can't say for sure since...

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

Tali modules first. Supposedly finished, but need the Tali Gold Standard for release. Expect it at some unspecified time in the future.

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

For the Red, yes it makes sense. For the Blue, I don't see it. For boarding, a short EVA is safer than docking. To get the prisoner back across, throw them in a stasis tube or slap a helmet on them. A body, on the otherhand needs no special consideration. :)

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

I rather have the side doors than the airlocks on my Blue.

Caterpillar internal rework on the way?

Asymetrical falls into "rule of cool." I don't own a Cat, so it doesn't really impact me, but I personally prefer the upper gantry down one side.
