Does anyone know what the cap on my Hornet Ghost is a placeholder for?

Make sense of what I am saying or make sense of what they are doing? LOL

Does anyone know what the cap on my Hornet Ghost is a placeholder for?

The new ship rules, to go with the new matrix, says where there is a turret, it is turret or nothing. The Ghost can mount the canard, but it doesn't come with one. The ability to mount a single size 3 instead of the Canard, is gone. Now the Wildfire does not list the ability to mount the...

Does anyone know what the cap on my Hornet Ghost is a placeholder for?

My thought is that depends entirely on what that cap is. If the cap is not replaceable with a turret, or if it loses the stealth without the cap, then no, the Sabre is a better choice. The Ghost will be limited to 2 size 3 and 2 size 1. If you aren't looking for stealth then the Super Hornet...

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

Especially when the Lancer you are looking at is mine. I don't anticipate carrying much cargo. LOL. Think of me as your friendly neighborhood Q-Ship. :)

I think they pulled the specs right out of the 3.0 build, so they can let the newer builds update the list with active ships. No big deal either way. Yes, the old Cutlass is a bit faster and more maneuverable, but less well armed.

The Black doesn't carry that many missiles or have that many guns before the rework, unless I am missing a hardpoint and four ordinance attachment points on my Black somewhere. :) The rework is supposed to though.

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

The Current Blue has 6 cells, the current Stalker has 6 Stasis pods. Granted the cells have bunks, so you should be able to carry 12 prisoners, but you better be able to pay attention to your prisoners so they don't kill each other in a cell, or suicide. The Avenger is a fighter, where the...

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

You are making assumptions. The difference between the Cutlass Rework and the Lancer, according to the new ship matrix are minimal. The two are closer than the Hornet and the Sabre. The Cutlass is slightly faster and slightly more maneuverable, the Lancer is studier with better avionics. Now...

Which still doesn't say anything. LOL

The problem cones in when there are more than one missile. With multiple high speed targets you need rapid firing weapons. This is true in real world navies (The Phalanx and Goalkeeper systems are the Current and most extreme examples), and most science fiction. The pyroburst will get one, and...

Does anyone know what the cap on my Hornet Ghost is a placeholder for?

I have a Hornet Ghost. It is a nice ship, I have three Tarantulas and a Flashfire with a Ballistic Combi Cannon on it. When I hit I leave a mark. :) However with Item 2.0, according to the new guides that came with the Ship Matrix, the nose gun is gone and can only mount the chin turret with 2...

Changed with the new rules and the ship matrix. No longer exists. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/16181-The-Shipyard-Weapon-Hardpoints Where they exist now they are specifically changed to turrets that are specific to the hull and not swappable to a different hull. (No...

I made the same point on missiles, since the Cutlass has more missiles, though the MIS has more if you want them. Further missiles are expensive, so cut into your profit margin. I am actually considering the MIS, not for removable missile reload racks, I would rather remove them, but for the...

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

I saw that. It means you may be able to carry a bike or a little cargo depending on layout. But we don't know how that will work out. The Freelancer and the Cutlass are equivalent. They both have advantages and disadvantages.

    A long delema I've had....Any Advice?

The turret on the Hurricane is manned, whether it can be slaved to the pilot, since it isn't a remote turret is an open question, but I doubt it. You should be able to AI it, but you are giving up controlling more than half your firepower.

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

The difference between the Cutlass and the Lancer is the Cutlass has a slightly faster top speed (Makes no sense to me at all in space, but what the heck.) and one size bigger guns on the top Turret, but the Lancer has twice the fuel, the option for a second shield generator, more cargo space...

Fleet planning for a Bounty Hunter

There are only 3 Size 5 guns on a 600i, the Connie has 4. I did not see anything in the new ship specs that allows you to double up guns if you go down a size. Did I miss something? The Pyros are energy weapons. I would actually go with badgers on the turrets and point defense blades for the...
