If you're flying the Carrack for cargo, I don't think you'll have much opportunity to fly an Avenger. If you want another small ship, I suggest consider a Sabre, just so oyu always have a good choice for a fight when it happens. even if you don't consider yourself competitive in dogfighting...

I don't think the question of best explorer is between the 600i and Carrack. It's between the Carrack and Polaris. So long as you have sufficient crew (and you always will, Glorious Leader), I think bigger is better. I am just unsure how the Carrack is better than the Polaris at exploration...

Yeah. Definitely the way to take down an HH is with torps. Certainly you don’t ever want to be in range of all those guns.
