Finally got to watch it tonight! So far I like it, it's a bit of a slow burn but I'm always up for heavy science fiction. At the very least it's a nice change of pace from the usual Star Wars/Marvel/Game of Thrones/etc!

An Anvil combat ship between large and capital sized makes sense to me.

Yeah I get what they’re going for. The asymmetrical Mercury Star Runner look. I feel like that aesthetic is better served on a larger ship though but what the hey. Why not?
