I don't really have a need for the RAFT. That said, I think future gameplay developments may necessitate the need for one. Kinda like how people laugh off the Argo Cargo but it'll obviously be crucial in the future.

Good points made. People bitch and moan about the state of mainstream AAA game studios. They talk about how games like Battlefield (insert whatever version), Cyberpunk 2077, New World, etc. sold out and are all about keeping the shareholders of these publicly listed studios happy. Meanwhile...

I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out the pros of using something like the Spartan versus an air/space borne dropship like a Valkyrie or Prowler. Tight canyons, caves where ships have no room to maneuver? Outposts where aerial assets are easily shot out of the sky?

Well this game was always supposed to be a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Every class is supposed to have a purpose. I fully expect there to be plenty of options to counter the Ares. Depending on how the Ares performs once it goes live PU, I won't be surprised at all to see a nerf that goes...

Medium and light fighters will absolutely bully the Ares though....especially after they fix that acceleration bug.
