Long term hangar question, looking for opinions.

I was thinking Hornets instead of Sabres but, yes, a medium fighter might not really be needed. Thanks.

Long term hangar question, looking for opinions.

Yes, Bounty Hunting is the primary purpose. Thanks. The Vanguard has a Sentinel BUK, so it, the Hawk and the MR have EMP covered. The Blue and MR both have the Quantum Dampners so that seems covered. The Antares doesn't maneuver as well as a medium fighter, doesn't have more firepower than a...

Long term hangar question, looking for opinions.

If I can't land I can't hit the bar inside. :) If I need to sneak past something, I have the Eclipse, but neither the Eclipse nor the Sabre have a way to haul a prisoner. Put a prisoner in the cargo hold of a Hornet Ghost, or build a Ghost version of the Super Hornet might work though.

Long term hangar question, looking for opinions.

Hey guys, Long term hangar question. My current fleet is below. I have a Sabre to Zeus MkII MR CCU waiting to see if the MR is something I might actually need for bounty hunting, once bounty hunting is more than just fly out and shoot someone. :) Right now the Sabre only gets used when I...

    Post IAE 2953 fleet changes

Well I did open my wallet for the first time since they blamed us for their inability to meet their own self imposed deadlines. They got $20 from me because they finally finished something and declared it done. The Lightning doesn't impress me. On paper I prefer my Vanguard. :) And I'm not...

looks like i now own a Polaris

The "crew it" question is why I melted mine in my big fleet reorganization a while back. It is now a Liberator and the Retaliator that grew into a Polaris is back to a Retaliator and my only ship with a "max crew" bigger than 3.

    Post IAE 2953 fleet changes

This thread is much quieter this year than most previous years. If this thread is any indication, it looks like CIG's IAE this year wasn't as money producing as previous years.

    Post IAE 2953 fleet changes

Not significant. I melted my Cutlass Blue to Zeus II MR CCU, bought a Hornet Wildfire to Zeus II MR CCU and a Sabre to Hornet Wildfire CCU. Total spent $5. I decided I rather have the option of both the Blue and the MR. Nothing applied, so no changes to the fleet. The plan is to add the MR...

The B-21 is white, like my Eclipse. Though the Eclipse, is a closer equivalent is the F-117 than the B-2 or B-21. Short ranged tactical.

    I flew something I shouldn't have.

The Engine issues that Doolittle complained about were due to inexperience. With the right settings, the engines were just fine. However those settings were finicky, and required following multiple steps, in the right order, to switch from cruising mode to combat mode. Getting it wrong caused...

The specs for NGAD include the requirement to reach Mach 10.

Compared to everything else I've seen on the NGAD this engine is actually slow.

CIG introduced the concept a year ago as almost ready for us. It got brought up at this years Citizen Con as almost ready for us, and put it into an "experimental mode" in Arena Commander. "Master modes" is the latest effort to force slower and closer combat. Essentially, yes, in combat you...

The P-38 mission The Germans called the P-38 the Twin Tailed Devil. Jimmy Doolittle called the P-38 "the sweetest flying plane in the sky." The main problem with the P-38 was it was a complex aircraft especially for rookie pilots with only 25 hours in type. The P-38 served in Europe from the US...

    I flew something I shouldn't have.

Operation Vengence was in April of 1943. Round trip was 1100 miles, plus combat in the middle and the mission was flown at low level, which isn't the most fuel efficeint way to fly. At the time the P-38, was the only aircraft with the range to do the job. It isn't that you can't fly stealth...

Considering the Sweinfurt-Regensberg mission, where 60 B-17 were lost, due to a combination of Fighters and Flak. In that mission 38 Luftwaffe fighters were lost, according to German records, with 21 more damaged. That tends to question the claim that bomber guns and gunners were ineffective...
