Id say wait a bit longer if your goal is SC there is to much stuff moving around if you want to do a minor upgrade Mobo and CPU that would work. or maybe get an SSD(this helps alot). but dont go all out for a new build. check ebay in my opinion get something that works for now without to much...

Desktop almost gave up the ghost today

Its really hit or miss there are going to be slightly defective products and the people who end up getting those it leave a super sour taste in their mouths to where they lose faith in that brand.(its a lot of money to feel cheated out of) nothing we can do about that.

    MineCraft server (Poll)

You can use Worldedit on servers also these days normally people start with world painter or another mass world generator then they use Voxel to make cool assets to have put in and use voxel to carve in unique structures quickly. its pretty much like having a really complicated paintbrush in...

I havnt checked this years stats in Anatech yet i do know intel is starting to fall behind a bit and cant justify their 5-10% more power at the prices they are offering. This is why competition like AMD is good it forces Intel to submit under the pressure of their prices and drop theirs. I...

    Opinions on custom computer builders

To add onto this PCparkpicker has alot of builds created by other people on there that are current, work extremely well for low mid and high range PCs pretty much just print the list and order the parts they recommended you might need 1 or 2 more small things but usually its pretty cut and dry...

LOL i wasnt trying to get more expensive i was trying to get cheaper. the computer i based the one you quoted is almost exactly what the one from the 2nd post is (the 23000 usd one is). Still there is no freaken reason any gamer would ever need that much bloat waste of parts and space. That...

I admit that last security flaw from the last chipset was pretty bad but they always beat out AMD in raw performance and reliability. AMD by no means is a bad company they just dont build as well as Intel. Ive used both in the last 20 years several times switching back and forth. Ive never...

    Opinions on custom computer builders

I agree i could build a better one for cheaper myself. Also consider using things like EBAY etc. avoid getting a graphics card from Ebay(possibly Crypto graphics card which means the life could be cut in half or worse). Things like power supplies, mother boards, Cases, etc are good from...

Cryptocurrency world - Selling hashpower, mining, and making money

You guys should get a small solar panel they sell them on Amazon then you dont have to worry about the electric cost and continue your hobby. The net loss is when the machine actually starts to break down. mining crypto really pushes the limit of your components and shortens life drastically.
