I agree with you with them having the ability to downgrade or upgrade ships at any time it makes it difficult to rely on the ship you want in the end fighterwise. Bigger ships are going to be bigger ships and will perform their purpose and I think are going to be a lot more balanced in the end...

I agree the khartu-al is a really nice ship but they really weakened the power which is why i was thinking about upgrading it to something else, but just like you think they may rebuff it and give it some real power which is why its hard for me to say goodbye to my first ship i bought.
