So finally tried it out today and found unlike a 'real' x-wing the convergence of the wingtip laser cannons isn't great, and despite it's good maneuverability, I only land 1-2 of the 4 shots when using S3 fixed. Going back to S2 gimbals for now, but still undecided on cannons vs repeaters.

I don't think this will happen. ED just backed out of trying to run on consoles; it's just too hard to cram all of the various needed controls on to a 10 button handheld. Plus it's not necessary, as they're clearly getting plenty of funding from just the PC base, so IMO I just don't see it.
