I personally thought the books were heavily overrated but I'm not a fan of Tolkien either. My favorite series is the first law trilogy. The audiobooks are a masterpiece (narrator is amazing).

Took me quite a few VHRT to get to ERT. Not sure how many. 20ish? Bounties have been way faster in 3.16, though. Haven't been having to wait for the marker like in 3.15. Seems to jump to the target pretty fast.
