I can confirm that they DID NOT remove LTI on 3 different LTI game packages bought via buybacks recently by 3 different people.

@Sirus7264 are you sure about this? I just bought back my UEE Exploration Package two weeks ago and it still was LTI. I asked around and found two other examples where the packages still had LTI.

You can trade upgrades. I would assume Merchantman would be available around gamescon. All my Banu Merchantman upgrades were $0 upgrades which aren't tradeable. Unfortunately, I am out of credits now. So I am closed for awhile.
