For me it depends very much on what you get from the Sub and how much they want for it. So long as they don't go to EA levels of greed in their design of MicroTransactions/ Subscription... then I will be ok with it.

In your use case then I would prioritize high speed processor (clock speed for single core) > high speed ram > SSD. Of course if you go for broke in all three categories you'll pull the best performance.

In general get an SSD for anything you want to load fast (Operating system, Games, etc..) and a standard hard drive for other storage. As far as recommendations go you can't go wrong with a Samsung SSD. That said the Intel Optane SSD's are crazy fast o.o (I'm in love with mine... only slightly...

That's horrific! I assume you must be on a trip, and hope that it makes up for that suffering in some small way.
