Fairly certain in an RtV Ben said it went up about a hundred in hangar ready and "once it's flight ready it should go up a similar amount". It was the RtV shortly after the Starfarer went hangar ready and they only spoke of the price increase for less than a minute, but it was there.

Most people have been guessing the Starfarer. And it's probably not a bad guess. Although that would make it jump to $400 and be a worse value than a Gemini at $340 when it goes Hangar ready.

It's a possibility. They seem to be sticking with 1 hangar 1 flight ready ship per month. Everyone thinks the Starfarer will be the flight, but they did say long ago they didn't want it flying until you could do the fueling. And in a recent RtV Ben said the Reliant would be in 2.4 in one form...

A lot of us "acquired" Gemini when they mentioned the increase. We weren't given them from Starfarers. But, yes, if you already have a Starfarer then it's cheaper now to upgrade.

No, it becomes the base ship that was the original. All CCUs are removed and cannot be rebought. Which is why you have to be careful to not melt a CCUed ship unless you really want it gone.

You can actually melt the Connie as soon as 24 hour period is over and immediately buy the Blade. Buyback is not dependant on being for sale. Which is why I'll be buying/melting a TON of Prospectors once those are available. I even have a few Blades. Don't ask me why he'd want a Blade though...

True. There are ways to get a CCU, but even those are above what should be cost. Not $100 more, but we're not 100% sure it's going up in price and therefore a gamble. (Even though we know it's 95% guaranteed to go up.)
