I figured out if I can find a decent supply of Oil then I can make Jerky to feed my carnivores while off offline. They'll last 8 days in a feeding bin and I can load them with normal meat at first to save on jerky. Playing once a week sucks ass for keeping dinos

They've actually already answered this. Some corporations or governments own rights to a planet and it's illegal to mine there. However, you can take out a contract just as haulers do to mine the planet for them.

I think I'm going to check and see if my current notebook can load into Ark, I know it'll do SC with crap framerate and everything turned off. If it can then I'll just wait closer to release to figure something else. Maybe by then I'll not be on the road as much.

I think more people may die in the Verse than you think. Especially in the beginning. And the Hospital can allow anyone to respawn, not just Org mates. But if no one ends up dying then it will be pretty boring as hangar/hospital takes all 3 slots.
