I'm not sure why this is needed. The idea is that Light and Medium armors will have their own benefits, why not let a team choose their own load-out? Or are we assuming CIG will make it unbalanced and one armor will be vastly superior to the other?

So in theory, if you want a lot of starting money, just buy a high priced ship and wait until launch to sell it for in game cash. Or even better, buy a ship where the expected value is going to go up, such as the BMM.
