I really hope this is going to be the new standard going forward; it'll be a big win in my book if they announce similar modules (with allowances for size and ship role) for the cutlass, and for other ships further down the line.

The base is only cheap because it has no modules. once you add the torpedo bays to the base, it's $275, the same as an ordinary retaliator.

moot point, it'll be back in hangar by the time we can fly her; I swapped my anniversary retaliator for an LTI retaliator and 2 torpedo bays. I'd have gotten a rear living and dropship bay to make an awesome shuttle, but I already have my redeemer, and I'm not giving her up anytime soon.

The 55 has some of the best internals of any Saitek stick; not as good as the warthog's but they're pretty great in my opinion.

Functionally, the x55 (and sticks with similar function sets) is a geat stick for games like SC; as long as they can reign in the QC issues that got their rep in the position it's in today, they should be fine.

To be honest, I'm OK with this; I love my x55.
