Take a look at the CH Products lineup of joysticks and their pro throttle. I've been using the Combatstick with the pro throttle for a little under a decade and a half. I'm sure this HOTAS is no Warthog, but it's no piece of junk either.

Ultimate in modularity is the Caterpillar. Cargo, exploration, SAR,.... all depends on which types of modules get released first

If the M50 floats your boat, go for it. I have one to unmelt and I think about it every week. Something about it being two-thirds engines.
