Not much of a fleet, but I'm only going to buy ships with specific roles. Deep exploration being one of my main focuses, I may pick up ship with a disruptive role with an emphasis on EMP. To be honest I really see myself being a crew member half the time and FPS's the other half.......sorry...

I seem to think Max Crew means the amount of seats that are available. A hunch tells me you can probably put as many people as you want on a ship, but whether any characters or material not strapped down, won't be able to survive a jump or warp.......I bet a couple of extra peeps could stow away...
