After thinking about it more, I can't decide if I should add an M50 ($80) to my Mercenary package ($40), or melt the package and replace it with a Colonel ($125) and F7C-S upgrade ($15). The Colonel package gets me a bunch of goodies like a collector's box and fold-up star map, and the Hornet...
I hope VR tech improves enough to be even more affordable. I'd love to have a real cockpit simulation setup, pedals, joystiq and throttles, and VR goggles or whatever.
There's people who have spent $15,000 or more on this game. I can understand splurging, maybe even up to an Idris or more, if you're employed and have a lot of disposable income. But 15 grand? I can only hope that one day I'm that well off.
I'm assuming that if they put it up for sale again, they'll at the very least provide more up-to-date concepts for it, hopefully even in-game screenshots.
Oh, I suppose that makes more sense.
Well, $10 is an additional 25%, and the only weapons I get are slightly better guns and four missiles. I dunno, it's probably way better and I'll eventually do that if I don't upgrade to a different ship. Not tonight, though.
To be fair, I haven't really played it either. Judging by my experiences with it and other people's anecdotes, though, the key is to find a good corporation. We have some EVE players in TEST Corps, they could tell you more.
Yeah... SC isn't out for another 1.5-2 years, mate. Glad to have you with us, though! Ever played EVE Online? Now THAT is a game with an economy to manipulate.
Maybe an M50 so I can stealth it out and achieve my dream of owning a ship worthy of the name "Invisible Mosquito". Maybe a Gladiator if I can convince myself to spend that kind of money (I can't and won't). Possibly a Hornet package for the juicy goodies that come along with it. Honestly...
Now that I think about it, Operation Aurora Aegis is far too obvious and betrays the nature of the mission! Operation SHIELD it is! Just don't try sneaking any hidden meaning into SHIELD or anything. It's only capitalized because it looks cool.
