To have a reason for everyone to get on board they have to be the only types of vessel that could survive an encounter with the big wheels vanduul, big bennies delivery truck etc. Then you could have massive guild envolvement taking a big fight to the enemy (whoever they are).

Just to be clear all "fighters" that people can buy are the non military versions of the ships. It is not unreasonable for people to expect them to not be super duper awesome against all ships. Currently larger ships have no speed no armour no shields and no guns (due to turrets and no maneuver)...

Whilst star citizen desperately needs some gameplay what I am hoping for is the netcode improvements without which there is no point having anything larger than a single seater.

Lets be honest in the current build of the game all the in game bigger ships are just there to be beaten up by the fighters. You are there purely as a target, your slow poorly manoeuvring with very little defence and turrets are a joke. Even if turrets work I do not ever envisage this changing...

I totally get why you would want LTI but if you are only owning one ship LTI is not such a big deal. If you have a fleet of ships then having them all use up insurance time together would suck. There have been a couple of times recently they have sold entry packages out cheaper and in addition...

I can definitely see the desire for this ship, like all vandul ships it would undoubtedly under perform and cost a fortune but heh that look. I have a blade that keeps resisting turning into a BMM, I think I would trade the polaris (my big regret ship) for a stinger.

If you already have a ship for the PU I would not add another ship. The value in this game will be starting with one ship you like and playing the hell out of it. You may not care and it is your money to use as you wish.

Well although not entirely a drake fan I have all but the cutlass black already so for that reason and general lack of progress I will keep the wallet closed. I might however scrap a few drake ships if the concept sale is any good.

I thought they said on discord that the new Banu ship would be smaller than the merchantman so they could work out the kinks and utilise a banu ship build thing. I would be appalled if it was another single seat fighter will this one have size 5s??

You guys have been the masters of shit posting in this thread. One thing this reveal will show us is whether the BMM is actually underpriced at least as far as CR is concerned. I.e. the cost of this smaller ship should give us an indication of where the BMM sits.
