Yeah, it's not really common knowledge unless you are deep into the sport and/or live in one of the countries. :) It's mostly in good nature though. We root for each other until we face off, and then it's war!

Have a friend whos family had some chickens. One day they got some "Belgian Battle chickens" (literal translation) and he got really excited. Then he was really disappointed because they where just as normal as any other chickens they already had. :P
