Damned straight! Swords are silent, use no ammo & can be damaged if used incorrectly as well as through use, so they'll be perfect for stealth ops, especially after the "wear & tear" enters the game. Odds are that they'll take the place of a primary weapon, so a stealth assassin set up...

Most paladins are known for using shields & swords.
