    600i interior remake

So basically ... We should expect the reworked 600i to go up by a pretty significant amount to give it the "luxury" pricetag over the competition? It's the one thing that confuses me about Origin explorers. Outside of the design and luxury, I'm not sure what sets them part from the others...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

I meannnnn. You did just ask me if I knew words while asking me how it's possible for an unclear situation to be muddy. I'm just saying ... I was confused. lol

    Can't ... tell ... if ... trolling.

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

This thread is literally about CIG selling ships as NFTs. I'm saying that the ownership aspect of NFTs is muddy water and has a long road of case precedent and regulation. Kinda a tough call for a company who had to go talk to a government because they were using the words "concept sales"...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

I think we simply agree on some things and disagree on other points. My only contention with your points is I -do- believe the case law will favor my opinion. Obviously we have to wait and see, the court cases are only now rolling in. But I firmly believe case law will favor NFTs being treated...

    Odyssey QnA is out

Sometimes it feels like due to overall frustration ... the community gets upsets over the wrong things. Since it's something they feel "affects" them the most personally, they just kinda lose it. I mean ... people complain about the new looting system. Are you kidding me? Oh Noezzzz ...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Answer me this ... if you sell me a NFT of your ween or vajayjay and store it on your personal server. And then you delete said ween/jay pic token .... Could I sue you in a court of law in America? And that my friend ... is my point. At the end of the day ... I don't think CIG wants to go...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Tell all this to Quentin Taratino ... who is getting sued for selling Pulp Fiction NFTs. Tell him ownership doesn't matter and its all just a fairy tale receipt on the blockchain. Ask JayZ what the courts said to Damon Dash. Ownership of the asset is everything. It's the entire point...

    Odyssey QnA is out

And I still really don't understand why this freaked so many people out given that the Endeavor was announced YEARS ago ... I could see not understanding that CIG will never stop making ships, thus something bigger and better will be on the horizon. But getting upset at a potential Carrack...

    Odyssey QnA is out

I think the people who assume the Ody can replace the Carrack because it has bigger guns are going to be severally disappointed when they run into hostile situations and have to actually maneuver that whale of a ship with about zero chance of evading a fight. The ships compliment each other...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

You would be banking on the idea that they would stop selling that NFT, thus increasing the price due to supply and demand. Actually owning an asset than can only be viewed or used in a specific game would be valued strictly on the basis of desirability of the current player base. No different...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

You DO have rights though. Because the item can only be modified and transferred by you. If the artist decides to change their asset .. it doesn't matter for you. They can't change YOURS ... they no longer own it. Ownership is the only right that matters on the consumer level. Worrying...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Copyright and ownership are two different things. If I buy an Aurora NFT ... I own that specific digital asset. I don't have the right to replicate the asset and resell it as my own. Photo studios are the same way ... You own the copies you buy, but not the copyright to the pictures...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Wait ... You're telling me I'm wrong about an imaginary NFT that CIG has never sold? NFTs are just digital assets blockchained for proof of ownership. If one were to "NFT" an entire ship and sell it, then one would assume you are infact selling away the rights to that ship. That's the...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Current Grey Market doesn't prevent CIG from making balancing changes to your ships. This would. Unless we want CIG to be just another shady NFT company selling fools gold and labeling it NFT ...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

That's the only place it has any value ... literally what so ever. The only place that ship will EVER work and have a value is ... IN Star Citizen. They don't even have standard 3D models of the ships. It's all built on in-house tech ... models and all. There is literally nothing we could...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

I'm just saying ... CIG can't LEGALLY modify ships they no longer own.

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

But if they turned ships into NFTs... you WOULD own them. And thus, any changes would have to be made individually to ships ... by permission only. If I don't want my NFT Ares to get a weapons nerf ... you can't make me. I bought what I bought and CIG no longer has any ownership or say in the...

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

The problem is ownership. That creates liability. Liability cost money. If they modify the Aurora I own and spent $1,000 for ... that's destruction of private property.

Should Star Citizen consider NFT's for raising funds?

Dont get me wrong .... If CIG came out and said, "Hey gang, to thank every last backer who made this possible ... we're actually going to make pledged ships have an individual NFT that you own forever" ... that would be awesome. But the people pushing for gamer NFTs aren't doing it for that...
