Nvidia is fussy, you'll need the same GPU, manufacturer, and model. Usually each manufacturer has at least 2, the 'base' that is as from Nvidia but with their brand cooler and another that has a custom circuit-board design. Edit: it appears they have gone lax with the most recent Gen?
