Thinking about a Next Level rig as a jumping off point for a new build

https://nextlevelracing.com/flight-simulators/ Reviews I've found look solid, and the price is competitive. Boeing logo's on the licensed units would add some bragging rights at work... Anyone have any experience or inputs on the company?

    Happy Holidays Testies!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good flight in your preferred mode of Star Citizen.

This is the quality of Spectrum entertainment I yearn for....

Evocati patches are always under NDA, and leakers get banned from time to time. PTU patches are NOT under NDA, as soon as it goes Wave 1 everything that is there is open to the public. So I'm not sure of the context here, but he ain't got nothin' special.

While you are it, demand that CIG make that sweet TEST Eclipse paint job from Hangar.Link.. :) Oh, and a micro fridge in the Aurora for beer. I think this is perfectly reasonable as the Highest Profile Leader of the Highest Profile Organization!! (although I'd be fine with a shot glass too.. )

There is an old saying about not shitting where you eat.. apparently Twerk17 here hasn't learned that one. (His previous YT handle, for those unfamiliar. So very classy.) Got no use for him as a content creator, other than as an example of how NOT to do it. @Patrick Spaceman No, he's...

PTU 3.18 Available (Wave 3 / Open PTU!)

Servers got slammed hard, as if a million voices suddenly cried out "Salvage!!"... Give them some time, the team has been working their asses off for months, this is just the next round and it will get cleared up.

    re: Polaris Update Video

You've had plenty of shots at being a friendly human. Stepped over a line here, as you tend to do. That cargo bay is huge, and so is the ramp leading up to it. Guesses I've heard by interested parties go over 200 SCU, and it definitely has room for vehicles. Tactical analysis tools are not...

    re: Polaris Update Video

As they said in the video, the concept for the inside didn't fit within the concept for the outside. There have been ships where the released version was dramatically different than the concept described (Khartu-al comes to mind) but in my opinion this isn't all that different from the few...

    Virpil Constellation scroll wheel

The problem is that the software treats the scroll wheel as two buttons, no different than hitting w or s. I finally got tired of bending my thumb and switched to using the analog thumb stick for ship speed settings. It's not as precise but is much quicker for that application. If you find a...

    re: Polaris Update Video

It's obvious they've learned a tremendous amount both about building their ships, and what we want in them. Plenty of turret coverage, lots of hangar space, more cargo/garage space, medical support, holding cells, capital class radar, everything a crew needs. I'm sure there will be some...

Star Citizen breaks $100M raised for 2022

Hahahaha! Sometimes truth hurts.. that particular board used to run a 1650, one of the PCIE slot powered-only versions. It was an.. abysmal experience. My nephew smoked his gaming box by not clearing cat hair out of the cpu fan, so I salvaged the 1060 and he got a hands on lesson in buying...

Star Citizen breaks $100M raised for 2022

I have 3 levels of computers for testing; an i7-7700T + 1060 for the low end performance a 5600x + 6600xt for 'mainstream configuration' a 5800X3D + 6900XT on the high end. By your math, I should get an account to run on each, and I could achieve 504 hours a week!! Glorious!

    IAE 2952 WB CCU watch

@FZD and @Brictoria Thank you for putting up this thread and keeping it up each day. While the sum and total of my new ships is a C8R, this was used as a quick reference many, many times over IAE during the cleanup/melt/consolidate process and to help others with questions. 🥃

Star Citizen breaks $100M raised for 2022

Just got home and saw this.. awesome STUFF., Also, if you need help running through journalists, I think the 'rule-of-cool' pokey on the right wing of the Corsair would stack a fair few...

Exploration looking for Exploration / Science recommendations and opinions

Well, since it's opinions you are asking for, TEST is the right place 🍺 Truth is, almost anything you hear will be opinions. Where scanning is concerned, and especially the 'Long Range Scanning' that some ships are supposed to be capable of, there isn't much in the way of solid information...

How much is an NPC slot really worth?

Feel like this is one of those areas of the game that you almost have to take on faith.. almost. The AI required for NPC's to fulfill useful roles on the ship is and has very much been in development, as it is needed for SQ42. 'Companion AI' for the player was even mentioned in one of the...

    RSI Galaxy Screenshots and speculation

Yes, this is the nail in the coffin.. I'll stick with the Carrack as Exploration is how I intend to spend most of my limited game time. Having a large utility ship is appealing, but this one just moved to the 'aquire in game' category.

    RSI Galaxy Screenshots and speculation

IIRC, this is not a hard boundary. In the same show where he gave this explanation, he also stated that there would eventually be a much wider variety including things like anti-fighter cannons and larger weapons. Edit: What they ACTUALLY decide to do remains to be seen. But the problem you...

    RSI Galaxy Screenshots and speculation

Agreed.. can't think of any time they've downsized. The memory claims there is one but won't give up the details lol. And as you point out, the Size 5's and up are worthless against smaller ships, especially fighters. The Odyssey shares the same problem with it's weapon configuration. Yogi has...
