It definitely works. I changed the Black to an Aurora AN and then changed that into a Yellowjacket. Now my two Dragonflies in the package are Yellowjackets with one destined to be something else and I saved another $5 with this convoluted CCU process to put into something else.

Have you tried to see if it will let you CCU one of the Dragonflies from the package? If it will then I'll just buy the two pack rather than the two individual ones I picked up.

None of the Freelancer variants are in game yet. The only thing you can see in game right now is the stock Freelancer. I'm looking forward to being able to see the variants though. I want to change mine to a DUR or a MAX but I'm not sure which without being able to see it.

Good idea about the CCUs to other colors! I grabbed 5 of each. You never know when your space trashcans may need a paint job.

I ended up upgrading to the Tana. I'm assuming when it's flight ready it'll get more expensive so at the very minimum I can just upgrade to something else from the new price with only $50 into the ship.
