Don't expect anything stable quite yet. By "final push" I mean it won't go live for a few more days at least pending the results of this 3rd wave of invites. By all the streams out there, server stability is still an issue but with every crash they gather even more data.
CIG is now sending out invitations based on CitID's. This is just the final big push before 2.0 goes public. They're stuffing the servers to stress test them even further.
SyFy is finally changing back to SciFi with this and other shows. Childhood's End is premiering the same night. I think we're still a long way from a Ghosthunters-free programming but if you gonna start, go big.
Damn you, Test. You finally made me spend real money instead of just recycling credit. I bought an electric razor, aka an Aurora LuX. It was the one ship missing from my fleet list. Hope you're proud of yourself.
The only bad thing about the sale is that the Endeavor packages are not CCU choices. I wish I could apply LTI to my carrier but 3-year insurance if more than fine considering the established fact that insurance in general will be so miniscule of an expense it's not worth worrying about.
Well that's all for War Pig, folks. My hanger is still steaming hot from all the melting and my wallet actually dodged a few bullets. Settled on the following:
Endeavor Hope-class
Archi CCU'd to Star G
Avenger Titan
Herald w/ LTI from original concept sale
Reliant w/ LTI from original concept...
I want one but I think I'll hold off until the PU or a future sale. I finally maxed out my discretionary fleet building and will rely on all the Crucibles in the Org for any repairs (in exchange for heavily discounted use of my Endeavor escort carrier)
Your current set up is more tits than consolidating to a single one trick pony. I think you should stick with the Phoenix + Hull. All bases covered, including passenger transport in case you want to go that route as well.
My worst decision was melting my old Connie legacy Alpha package instead of CCUing it to an Endeavor. In the end, I still haven't spent a dime yet but I had to do some shuffling to get back to my comfort zone:
Connie upgraded to Aquila package - melted
Retaliator base, Dropship & cargo module...
Meh. Don't feel bad. Either lurk for a $30 discount package or just pony up the extra 15 for a full price. I kinda expect 2.0 to go public this weekend or early next, so grabbing a game package is not that urgent right now unless you really want to get some stick time in before it means anything.
Dammit. My leftover CCU credits just poofed into (2) Archimedes (Archimedi?). I suppose I'll CCU 1 into something else plus the LTI but I really need an intervention right now.
Remember that the Tali base will only be the ship with guns. It's best to grab at least a few modules to make it complete but it not required I suppose. It'll be just a gunboat with a lot of wasted space in-game.
I would say depends on your play style. The Taurus is a dedicated hauler and the Tali base is more of a framework to plug in the modules. You can get cargo modules or mix and match but you will be massively downgrading the tonnage you can haul. I say go for it. The Taurus is a permanent part of...
Just went thru 2 days of ship melting and fleet refining. It's almost like I was managing my fantasy team. Finally settled on a solid lineup:
Flagship: Endeavor Escort carrier (because Hope is for the weak)
ELINT: Herald
Pathfinder: Reliant
Armed Logistics: Star G, Avenger Titan
All this while...
