I bought only one (just the base starter package) to keep it cheap but, I have slowly upgraded it to freelancer. I wanted to slowly upgrade to a redeemer though I've been spending my extra money on other things.

I think backlog of games is common with gamers. I know people who get in on humble bundles pretty regularly and has a massive list of un-played games that they may or may not be able to get to.

I like free as well. I've already pre-ordered mine. Though I know someone who could use free, he's got some car troubles and not really the funds to even do that. I've thought about getting him a copy but my funds are also tight. Don't think the wife would like the idea of buying the game twice.

Hard to say if it's worth it or not. Each person is different. I myself really enjoyed it, I think it may be missing something, but I really enjoyed it. Some people didn't like it and some people were like "meh, it's alright". Maybe we should take a poll?

It is definitely more fun to go it (especially the Dark Zone) with a group and, when it gets released I will definitely be like "star citi...ze.... what?! What's that? A space man or something?", until something big comes down the line for star citizen.

They can be. It's an RPG that plays like a shooter so it's about leveling. So far I think the game has received mostly positive reviews. We'll have to wait for full release to see full content but, I for one am glad I pre-ordered.
