Thanks for the advice so far! Looks like the Freelancer is the way to go then, and I agree that the extra hauling capacity is worth the trade-off in speed (and cost).

Currently only a humble Aurora MR, but I plan on branching out, probably to a 300i. Yeah, I lost more ships than I care to recall, and fortunately I was investing in insurance from an early stage. I'll make sure to do the same in SC.
