Generally: Some you loot, or in boxes at mission sites. You might need the mission to get them. Some are in stores where you need aUEC to get them. They have toyed with hidden treasure hunts, but they're only really interesting the first dozen times or so, and I can't remember if any of them...

There are ways of doing this but there is high risk that any item placed in it, will respawn in a slightly different position which could burry it inside the walls or furniture, or launch them. That tends to happen when objects are physicalized, but that's required if you want to have objects...

This is possible, but it is much easier from a programming perspective to change a property in the ship object model that says the module is A or B (and whatnot). The module can even contain it's own inventory of other components if you do it that way, so for example if you change out a cargo...

It shows up as suit, not undersuit, and helmet but I also haven't seen it in game. Not that I need one.

The reset works well to return lost items, make sure you allow 15 minutes for the things to work properly. You also might find everything except your aUEC is reset, including some items you bought in game. It's not ideal but that's what we have. The Lost and Found kiosk idea has been...
