The upsize is a good thing, outside of speed it was basically outmatched by everything else as a "starter." But yes, the top down has an odd balance to is and upping the size of the weapon hardpoint lends it a slightly more balanced shape.

I want to like it, but I think the gun to cockpit spacing is a little extreme and throws off the lines way too much. It should be an Ares with an interior given that shape.

A lot of those roles could be condensed to reduce the count which is probably the better play. Havng been doing stuff on PTU the last coupole of days, co-pilot would be managing many of the interior control roles (hangar and systems), where most likely the remote missile turret operator would...

The brig has a few nice touches to it. Security cameras in the cells and an openable item pass though for the heretics to feed them low quality beer
