I still like CIG, but they are pretty shitty with dates. Especially CR lol...Starfarer will be in by the end of February, Star Marine will be out end of March (2015).

I'm not sure I really fully understand this argument, but that's probably because I find it easier to relate to characters of my own gender, nothing knocks my out of my zone more than hearing male grunts.
But isn't that argument especially weak in a game you'll be spending 95% of in first person?
I can't wait to get representation, and then have everyone assume I'm a guy because it's the internet :)

If anyone wants to play as the female model for whatever reason more power too them, I'm excited for it for immersion reasons, but if other people want it for eyecandy in their screenshots or just for some casual genderf*$kery then all power to them!

Actually my use of female characters all started in EverQuest. Where you had to sit down to recover your mana to cast spells. The female animation sat down immediately almost comically dropping to the ground. While the male model kinda eased themselves down and lumberingly sat cross legged.
My friends and I timed them and calculated the amount of extra meditation time the female got over the male and decided to run with it. Only later did we realize it counted you as sitting the moment you pushed the button no matter the gender. Also, it only ticked once every 6 seconds, so we gained nothing, but it was so engrained by that point we just kept making them.
I would expect Zapp Brannigan to come back with a very different response. You are not worthy of the Brannigan name.

I usually play female characters for ... "equality" ... issues? So many games force you to play male so when I have the option I usually go 50/50... less so in online games since I prefer not to confuse people with my actual gender... but some times exceptions happens, I can't stand most of the alliance race males in WoW for example, such pompous body builders the bunch of them...
