3D printed vanguard

I go to a technical college and we have a 3D printer. I got the ok to print out a vanguard if I can make it work. Here's hoping. I will try to film it and take pictures, I should know if we can get it to work in an hour or two. I will let you guys know more soon!

Building the base, 8% done 20 minutes in, I have to go, will hopefully have full ship tomorrow morning. Going to take almost 3 hours to do.

Looks very cool! Do you sand the surface or trim anything to give it sharper edges and more detail? Or is it ready for painting as-is?

I am going to do some sanding, mainly on the bottom because it rests on supports when building, and then you have to brake off the supports.

the printer can only do one color right now, and CIG would not let us make money off one of their properties. They are all for us making stuff and having a good time, buy we can't sell things related to their game without their written consent.

Add a key ring to it and you got yourself a nifty keychain. Looks good man but next time you should for for full scale ;)
