Are you wondering how someone can sell a $650 Polaris? With the right $0 ccus you could create them for $400.

I'm sure @Doyzer is correct, but I don't have the patience to figure it out.

I got my Polaris by buying a HH with cash for $575 (or was it $550?) and then bought a $25 CCU when the price went up (but the Polaris stayed the same).

So yeah, definitely possible.

If you have $650 to blow an a HH, you also could think about getting the Escort pack from CIG for $1325 which contains the HH and a bunch of single seat fighters...and isn't grey market.

All you need are two old $0 ccu's (Redeemer to BMM and BMM to Carrack). That gives you a $250 Carrack. Then $150 for Carrack to Polaris.

Not sure I would say an extra $675 is an easy upgrade. I'm not a fighter guy though, so I don't value those five ships to that amount.

I am hoping the HH stays the same price when it next goes on sale as I'd like to upgrade a Carrack to it.

I ended up getting my Polaris dummy cheap - bought the M2 Hercules warbond pack. Upgraded to the original Hammerhead. After it went up to 725, upgraded again to the Polaris, and upgraded the Cyclone to a Stalker - now have a Polaris/Stalker/LTI in a pack for only 600.
