890 Jump.. what are your thoughts?

I've always wanted a ship that would feel like a home, and this seems to fit the bill. Hope it isn't stupidly expensive, like the pheonix.

Looks too much 'business' and not enough 'pleasure'. Feels like it's more for entertaining clients and making sales pitches rather than the sort of hanky-panky that you'd want to be enjoying on a luxury yacht. Unless Origin is trying to stay more respectable than that gaudy pimpmobile from RSI...
Which makes me think that maybe the Phoenix isn't so much of an RSI product, but something that a custom shop would have done - sort of like Rousch or Shelby Mustangs. Would be neat to see a bunch of tuner shops spring up to provide modified ships (could even use that as the in-game outlet for releasing really high-tier user generated content ala Steam Workshop).

Yeah, does feel more home-y than the Phoenix, more like a cruise ship or a hotel lobby. Doesn't feel as adventurous as the Phoenix, I suppose.

i think it looks like it'll be between 600 and 1000 bucks. i'd say a firm 800 easy.
I think we can make the interior more TEST proof... Add a few kegs, pool table and a dartboard, and it already more comfy.
Aye... i also have a feeling that it's going to be pricey, and in limited numbers.

Speaking honestly, I wonder at what role it can really do. Every other ship has a clearly defined role...the 890 Jump just seems to be there to look pretty.

what's wrong with that? It feels like home. It's comfortable. Great for RP, not much else. I would guess it's a sort of meeting, or small-org base of operations.

'Meeting' is the vibe I keep getting from it. I keep coming back to the feeling of 'office lobby', which for me screams 'synergy' and other idiotic bizwords. I hope there are some different interiors available, because looking at the 890 Jump art right now makes me want to schedule something to discuss our acquisition strategy and leverage our core competencies. Meanwhile, the Phoenix interior makes me want to snort a line of Tamsa herbal extract off of a Tyrolian hooker's ass, then jump into the hot tub and demand an impromptu wet t-shirt contest.
It seems like it would be a cool hang out spot in-game. Of course we will have to wait to see CIG plan on how it's to be implemented, but it's definitely a cool ship.
