So there is a lot of sub divisions kicking about all with their purpose BUT honestly when we first get a galaxy to explore I want to do it all, I want to scan weird alien life forms then smuggle guns to the Banu stopping to get a quick race in on my dragonfly, Next up we are heading to a vanduul planet to see what they are up to before selling the charts to a mining location, finally we have a combat drop against a rival org that has been giving us some trouble to show them who is boss in our mech suits!

The firefly/star trek/normandy mass effect life working with others on one ship doing a bit of everything but waaaay more drunk

I doubt this needs its own subdivision but like a lot of you i'm sure you want to do a bit of everything and I thought i would put a post up to help other more generalist players find players or crew!

My plan is to take my carrack out as soon as I can and hit the stars and see how far we can get and how much booze filled shenanigans we get into

This is NOT for making a subdivision this is about find others to play with wanting to do a bit of everything at the start of SC haha

(also a way of looking for a cheeky crew to start with)

I agree. I want a taste if it all. Which is why I got a ship that will be alright at whatever, cept for mining, exploring, salaving etc etc. I will have to get different stuff for that. But I agree, I don't want to limit myself to one part of the game. I want to escort cargo runs, pirate cargo runs:p, bounty hunt, go against player groups, enjoy the ground aspect of it, help fleet members, help crew another's ship if needed. Whatever is needed, I am here to help, and will be more than happy to do whatever:) I want it all

I honestly bought the 890 Jump and 600I expecting them to be slightly decent at a couple things. Traveling aroudn with a bit of cargo to sell, smoking a nice cigar on an alien world, getting blown up by a gigantic space dil..worm, it's a worm. I really can't wait.

It seems likely that we wont need an actual division for this, since nearly everyone will be willing do spend some time going and doing whatever for a while. Or, you could just tag along on division ops since we're all in the same org anyways.
Even though I'm going to focus on exploration, I'm perfectly willing to help crew a mining/salvage ship for a while, and I'm sure that if we got into conflict with another org, everyone'd be willing to put a little time into fighting them.

As the sort to lean towards "jack of all trades" in pretty much everything, I feel like my whole schtick is gonna be a missing piece sort of deal. Like a mercenary for the benefit of the Org, so I'll fit in where I'm need it. Data running in between branches or serving on a large ship. sure, I'll have independent enterprises, but I feel like being part of TEST will be my main experience.

Luckily Min-maxers typically post their builds for the generalist to utilize. The second part is while it is true a skilled player with a single focus would be mostly unstoppable in a 1v1 who says we have to play fair and stick to one at a time. After all we are the swarm.

Fighting, in all of it's forms, is fundamentally unfair. There are always a counter, a weakness to exploit and a way to win. Why do fighters train if not to gain an advantage?

I honestly doubt it. I think on a whole the community will be a bit more chill as it will be more spread out, universe-wise. But the main thing I see is people either coming over from Eve or people of like mind joining the game in droves and that leads to the assumption they will act the same way.

In fact you can be members of many groups... I think it will be benificial for the org to don’t have a lot of groups or sub group

I really hope (mech suits excluded (just kidding)) that there are many areas of the game that get delivered and are actually fun. If this is the case I expect there will be lots of people enjoying different aspects. This of course does not preclude you helping with rock raiders or whoever when you want to or maybe if they need you to. Test is huge nearly as large as Chris Roberts ambition and feature creep!

I am not sure there needs to be a separate group though, the purpose of each group is to achieve something. There is a drunk bastards group right?
