I did the same thing last night and now i want to go back. I will be getting a Freelancer max here soon.

Ive done a few chops and changes, Finally settled on my fleet, just want to get a Hull-B and a couple more guns. After this unless a new ship comes up that I really really want ill be locked I think :D

Isn't the 325a kinda obsolete when you have a SH? :o

Personally, I'm more into bigger Ships, so I kinda lack appreciation for anything smaller than a Connie... xD

Na different porpoises. 325 to me is my cruising around by myself ship, little bit of cargo, little bit of firepower, little bit of comfort, lot of speed. The hornet is my "Im going out to kill shit" ship

Ah I get it... I originally looked at the 315p for that purpose.

Now I'll most likely aim for a Retaliator for that... (and yes, I'm that dumb). :P

Thats not dumb... I love my Tali, and I love that I can customise it to my specs, want a luxury ship? Tali, want a bomber? Tali, want a dropship? Tali XD

Well yeah, but it's still gonna have fairly high running cost in comparsion to i.E. mentioned 315p... so if I just derp around, it might cost me a bit.

If only I weren't such a sucker for LTI... xD

I found out that the Connie was to big of a ship for just little old me. So, I melted it down and got a Cutlass and a 300i. Needless to say i didn't like those ether and was even more unhappy. I remembered when i had a freelancer and decided to melt the 300i and upgraded the cutlass to a Freelancer Max. I hope that this will be a better fit for me throw 3.0 and i plan on buy a Gladius or a hornet in the future so i can do more combat stuff. In conclusion, I should have asked my fallow Testies for advice before i decided to upgrade, upgrade, melt, and finally upgrade.

The Max should be a pretty good altounder, altough I'm no fan of it currently (because it uses smaller Shields than the other Freelancers, this could change).

Regarding Combat in the PU: I think a most people underestimate the importance of long-range.

I mean... for which purpose would you usually use a Fighter in the PU?

It's mostly escort duty (or the opposite if you're a Pirate) and the routes would have to be calculated for the Ships with the shortest range, and I doubt a Convoy with multiple Transport ships would want to compromise their routes just to drag along some SH/Sabres if they can just rely on Vanguards etc. for a non-stop trip.

We surely have a lot of Starfarers, but I think it would turn into a micromanagement nightmare if you'd try to tag-along a dozen short-range fighters without a Carrier over long distances.

I agree, the short range fighter is just for now. I am waiting on getting a LTI place holder and thin maybe for X-Mas, if I am good, Cris will let me buy a long range fighter.

I haven't found the Constellations to be very inspiring myself. I can't deny they are useful ships, but in terms of everything else, I find them kinda meh.

That being said, they are probably going to be one of the single most useful ships out there for solo or 1-3 players.

I'll stick to my Cutty though.

lol, I started after CIG stopped sell the Hull series (like 3 weeks ago, ya im new). Besides, hulling a van trailer is much easier and safer the loss freight. After full release or if i get a second LTI place holder (still need to get my first one) I will get one, which ever comes first.

You know plenty of people in TEST have LTI placeholders that they can sell you. Just throw up a "WTB ..." thread on the marketplace forum.

I wouldn't recommend buying on the "grey market" from just anybody you don't know, but we have some trustworthy sellers in test which aren't doing it for profit.

For example, DirectorGunner is selling 85x for 50$+Paypal Fee (2.9%+0.30$), which would even be less than I had to pay on the RSI Website thanks to 19% Tax. But I think we also get a sale for another snub relatively soon.

Makute also has some good offers... tbh if I'd just start the Game, I'd buy his BMM Game package for 300$ without hesitation.
