Has anyone found a ship that you've really been relying on for this event?

I've gotten the transport section done, and now working on the defense portion.

Through it all, the Prowler Utility has been my go-to ship. This thing has been a perfect fit, so far.
I was close to getting rid of it, but I've developed a new respect for her and been enjoying solo life.
It easily eliminates the light fighter hostiles for the Attempted Cargo Theft 53k credit missions.
Stealth hauling up to 32SCU, I fly from the lower co-pilot seat so I can use the ship tractor beam to recover cargo.
I only have to get out of the seat to operate the external cargo elevator when dropping off cargo.
It's a freshly discovered hidden gem that's been hiding in my fleet for some time. I'm glad I didn't CCU it now.

Regardless of it's physical competency it is just plain beatiful and rare compared to the usual cargo ships around. You should be proud to fly it.

When the Pr-U was announced I was openly disgusted by what I thought to be a useless marketing gimmick.

Before the initial sale was over it became my most used ship. It's done bunkers, mining outposts, missions of all flavors, medical rescues, ship recoveries, forward reconnaissance, and lot of good old fashioned sneakin' around. It's the first ship I consider when traveling or moving stuff (especially into Pyro), and it's put my LTI Renegade into early retirement.

You, sir, have chosen wisely.

Edit: And tonight it slipped it's first quantum interdiction in Nyx... Not stress free but ran the boost out and got out of their detection range. Good times.

Dunno. When I first saw the PR-U I imagined it as a kind of carrion bird. Picking at the bones of fallen warriors or the terminally unlucky.
A fleeting shadow in the darkness of space.
Unseen and unbothered.
But all beak and claws if cornered.
I think it was love at first sight.
I even forgave the downsizing of the main guns.
It's definitively the perfect ride for sneaking contraband into and out of places.
Small but precious stock obviously due to lack of volume.
Or maybe simply some NDB-30s from that crashed ship.
Small cargo beats no cargo 10 times out of 10.
PS: Anyone else hoping for a PR-RED?

Okay, almost through with Alliance Aid.
So MVP ship time!
Gotta say the Prowler Utility is a great ship for picking up cargo in space.
And you can do the Interstellar delivery small missions quickly. If you change the drive that is. The Nova feels kinda slugish, though it is obviously low emission as it should be.
But the ship that made the grind most bearable for me was the Grey's market SHIV.
It's just a little faster wherever you need to go with the same 32 SCU and a little more firepower.
For some reason, compared to my F8C Lightning and my Guardian MX it was the ship that deleted bogeys the fastest. Just swap the repeaters for some Omnyskys and your golden. No fancy configuration needed. Guess it's something about the weapons being pretty tightly grouped.
Bottom line, my MVP ship in Defence contracts is the SHIV.
As for non combat missions like Collect or Transport any ship with enough SCU space will do.
Though if you do consider speed a boon in this Grind then the RSI Hermes does pretty well.
So good second place I'd say. 😽

Prowler Utility could do all of this event, and did carry the Transport branch.
For Collections the Mole was taken out to seek borase, bex and laranite. Didn't feel like competing at the commodity kiosks, and needed to brush up on mining anyway.
On the Defense side, started with a Ghost, got into a groove collecting most of the points with a 315p, and finished the Milestone mission as a group in a Perseus 😃

This event was designed to provide really good results for the solo player with the small-to-medium ship. To that end there are quite a few that would work well, but I'm calling the Pr-U my VIP.

Nice to see the 315 get some honors here. The combination of speed, stealth and range in that ship is impressive. I still think it is the premium starter ship unless you need more cargo space. People always seem to undervalue the range issue.

BTW, I know the Huricane turret will fit on a Vanguard. I’m curious if anyone has stuck the remote turret version from the Shiv on a Vanguard. If it’s possible to give those guns to the Vanguard pilot, that would be shocking.

The 300 is a lovely ship I used to fly my loaner 325 quite a lot. Fast nimble ok guns and lovely interior and nice cargo ramp.
