edit: Ah didnt even know this caused it:

• Dragging and dropping a magazine into the players armor should no longer cause the inventory to infinitely load and stop responding

I had decent frame rates in 3.17 and for the little I played in 3.17.1.
But apparently they broke that and I am at unplayable framerates in the PTU.
Yuck.

It's a PTU environment with a lot of tracing enabled -- this always has a negative impact on the client and server performance.
There are also few places in the universe where framerate drops dramatically right now, but CIG is working on this. I'm 99% sure performance would be the same as on 3.17.1 once 3.17.2 goes live.

I haven't seen it this bad in a year and a half, if not longer.
