Just a nobody reporter trying to get a few hits. It's no doubt a rather.... unusual technology to invest in, I'd rather not have it even if it's subcontracted to another company and doesn't hurt the development of the game.

But hey you never know, it might be the next big roleplaying feature the world wanted so since we have it lets enjoy it.

The large news outlets are extremely polarized by design. They share news as their source of income, not as a way to keep people informed. The more exciting and controversial they can make it, the more profit they get.

So when a news company like MSN gets around to reporting something, it's either really bad or really good. If it was an average experience, they will try to push it to either one end of the spectrum or the other in the attempt to make it sensational. They do this by choosing what aspects to highlight and using exaggerated words. They also go with the option that involves the least amount of truth bending. In this case, they thought it would be easier to make the showing sound bad. Then they used words like "nightmare" to make it really stick out. This is one of the many reasons why I do my own research and refuse to take news sources (especially big ones like MSN) at face value. They NEVER tell the whole story and sometime flat out lie to make their big article.

Most people know this though. I doubt a MSN article will drive many new backers away. This game attracts people that can see the potential and are willing to stick with it until the job is done. Lets face it. With the massive volume of first party and third party updates, reviews, and guides, any new backer can clearly see what has been done so far. One article (or even dozens of articles) would still be insufficient to counteract all the good information that CIG and third party sources have released.

It's a bit hard to see sometimes if you have been into SC for a long period of time, but don't forget that there is actually more content right now than many of the recent AAA releases. People can and will continue to see that.
