Doesn't his character die during the events of Rogue One? If so, I'm confused by his being so excited for his character to be killed off "soon".
I think what he was saying was that season 2 quickly approaches the events of Rogue One. They’re only planning the two seasons and it ends with the film.
Ah, that makes a lot more sense than if they were looking for a 3rd or 4th season.
