Any web devs here? I need some help with an htaccess redirect

Hi guys!

This is not TEST or SC related.

I have another forum that is moving servers and changing a domain.

I need to get some redirects set up that point the old info to the new site.

Anybody here have some htaccess knowledge to share?

This is very simple,
put in .htaccess
Root redirect (aka redirect everything)
Redirect 301 / http://new-address/
301 is for permanent redirect, 302 for temporary.
for specific urls:
Redirect /dir/file.html http://new-address/anydir/anyfile.html

You can also use mod_rewrite for redirection, but it's overkill, imho.
