I've been puttering around with making a sous vide cooker with an arduino.

For those of you unfamiliar with sous vide, this guy talks good:

I found an instructable with all the code I need, so I just had to solder some bits and bobs together. I just plugged it in for the first time, and there was only one spark! I'm getting 5V out of the transformer I found, and the relay is not on fire, so I think it is a 100% successful TEST.

Sorry for the picture quality

Now that I know I'm actually getting 5V, I can wire it into the arduino, cram it into a box and start cooking things(as soon as I get the screen sorted out)

Any fellow TESTies ever sous vide anything?

It lives!

After some minor changes to the code, it shuts off when the temperature gets above the set point:

And turns on when the temperature gets below the set point:

I credit the success to the TEST themed transformer I found. TEST power BEST power!

I'm really looking forward to cooking some stuff!

This seems dangerous and delicious..

I am torn, the potential of death to juicy meat ratio has come under question.
Probably what the first man to eat shark felt
Feel the greatness flow through you manliest of men

Also.
Can you not just stick a truck battery to it to cook it? Why have I not seen or tasted truck battery beef before..
